Wedding Hacks Every Brides and Groom Should know

Wedding Hacks

As we dive in into engagement season, a lot of couples are also planning their weddings. This is a celebration of a life time and it could be very stressful. Planning any event is never easy let alone planning your own wedding. From my own experience on working with brides and doing my own research online, I came up with a few wedding hacks. It will help you take some of the stress of your shoulder and help you plan your wedding faster.

  1. Before you start sending invites to everyone you know on facebook and instagram, take sometimes to curate your guest list. It should be a special list of the people you really want to be apart of your celebration. Some people do not need to be invited. They can see your beautiful pictures online. Make sure to do a rough draft so you can feel good about the people you want to party with. Once you are done with your first draft of your guest it will give you an estimate of the amount of people you can expect to be present at your wedding. This will also help you narrow down venue options that are too big , too small or to far away. Then, you will only be looking at places that are right in your sweet spot. Not every venue will be ideal for your party so by doing that you will to focus on the ones with the most potential.

  2. Know your numbers. A few of your most important expenses for a successful party are: Venue and Entertainment. They also go hand and hand. Come up with a budget that will cover your needs but also has some room for some creativity. Have a solid max number in your head and and work around that. You should have an idea of your budget so you aren’t going near places you get excited about but are way out of your budget. But doing this you will save a lot of money, and time. Some vendors have a base price but with the add ons the price and escalate quickly. So make sure to also ask what’s included in the package you might be interested in.

  3. Plan everything well in advance When it comes to booking vendors for weddings, things get booked very fast. Give yourself a solid year to start planning. Start booking the most important part of your weeding: Venues, Entertainment, Catering etc… early . If you have less than 12 months to plan your wedding you will have to be more flexible.

  4. Keep your guests in mind ALWAYS when looking at venues and entertainment. Make sure the DJ / Band you should can cater to the type of guest your are inviting to your weeding. If you are going to be having a lot of out of town guests you want to choose a venue that has adequate hotels nearby, and is easy to get to. Those are my top tips for planning a wedding every Bride and Groom Should Know.
